Established over a decade ago, the New Mexico Biotechnology and Biomedical Association (NMBio), works to support and develop the bioscience industry in New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. As described in our Mission Statement, NMBio strives to provide a forum for information exchange related to life science activities, develop initiatives to enhance small business success, provide education regarding the NM biosciences, help establish collaborations, and publicize the bioscience industry.

NMBio is managed by an elected Board of Directors with responsibilities ranging from organizational planning, membership recruiting, meeting planning, marketing, and public relations.

Community is and will continue to be a focus of NMBio. Networking activities include monthly Biomedical Tuesday luncheons. NMBio events are an excellent opportunity for information exchange. Recent topics addressed medical technology patent protection, New Mexico bioscience technology company success stories, and trends in the medical device markets.

NMBio is an affiliate of the Biotechnology Industry Organization, the national organization representing this industry. Through this relationship, NMBio is able to offer volume purchasing discounts to its members.
