Join us for a discussion regarding the 2015 legislative session by Eric Layer, Vice President of the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry.
Eric will review the recent New Mexico legislative session and the impact of policy upon economic development in New Mexico. His presentation will cover methods the business community acts, and is acted upon, in the policy making process within the state of New Mexico in addition to specific issue areas including capital access, procurement, taxation, recruitment, and more.
Eric Layer’s Bio
Eric’s years of work in policy messaging and communication include experience on Capitol Hill, at the White House, and throughout New Mexico. At ACI, Eric puts those skills to use on behalf of ACI’s members, publicly articulating and advocating for key pro-business policies and explaining their impact on New Mexico’s economy and job growth. A lifelong New Mexican, Eric holds a BBA in Economics from New Mexico State University and an MA in Politics, Economics, and Philosophy from the University of York, where he studied as a Truman Scholar.
